BIO

Heather Link-Bergman is an interdisciplinary artist working across collage, photography, print media, and artists books/zines. Her work perceives and responds to unseen forces and what is missing, hidden, or lost. She holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts, where she was the recipient of the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award and the MFA Art Practice Thesis Award, and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been presented at MCA Denver, Center for Visual Art - MSU Denver, Chicago Cultural Center, ICA Baltimore, and Art In Odd Places (AiOP): NUMBER, among others, and is held in collections, including ICA Baltimore, The National Gallery of Art Library, The Joan M. Flash Artist Book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Public Library.

In 2015, she became a partner of is PRESS which offers publishing, design, and letterpress printing, specializing in short-run artist books, zines, and catalogs. Through the press, she authored, designed, and published numerous titles that have been exhibited at juried art book fairs and zine fests, including the Printed Matter Art Book Fair, Vancouver Art Book Fair, Canzine, DINK, and Tropic Bound. In 2025, she established après editions which publishes zines and fine art prints about “all that comes after…aftermaths, afterlives, and afterwords.”

In addition to her studio practice, she maintains a professional practice focused in communication design as public service, specializing in public health knowledge and norms change campaigns at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Art at Metropolitan State University of Denver where she teaches in the Communication Design Program.

Heather Link-Bergman was born in Summit, NJ. She currently lives and works in Denver, CO.
